Our 124th Installation Evening was held on 16th January 2026 in Kircubbin Masonic Centre. W Bro Jim Irvine, installed the newly elected Worshipful Master, Rt Worshipful Brother James McDowell and then the Worshipful Master installed his Officers of the Lodge for the year ahead. We were fortunate to be joined by the new Provincial Assistant Grand Master, Rt W Bro Ian Lawther on his first visit to the Lodge as PAGM.
It was fantastic to see a packed Lodge Room with with a great turn out of 58 Brethren which included visitors from Provincial Grand Lodge and neighbouring Lodges within the Province of Down and Antrim. After the installation the Worshipful Master presented the Immediate Past Master, W Bro Clifford Donnell, with his Past Master's Jewel and Apron. As with custom, we had a delicious Installation Dinner afterwards with speeches and toasts where the Brethren enjoyed fellowship with one another into the wee small hours.

James joined Shamrock Masonic Lodge 354 Kircubbin in 2022, but was previously a member of Portaferry 183. James is also a member of Shamrock Royal Arch Chapter 354. and many other Branches of our Order.​

Provincial Officers
Within our Lodge we are fortunate to have members who have served as Provincial Officers.

Rt W Bro James McDowell, Worshipful Master, and Rt W Bro Ian Lawther, Provincial Assistant Grand Master with the Lodge Officers on the evening of our 124th Installation.
Within our Lodge we have been very fortunate to have many members serve in Provincial Office. Most notably our late Brother, Rt W Bro Roger Matthews who was the Provincial Grand Master for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Down from 2014 until 2018. Prior to this Roger was the Provincial Deputy Grand Master since 2011, and his portrait proudly hangs in our Lodge Room.

Our most recent Provincial Grand Lodge Honour has been bestowed upon our Worshipful Brother Secretary, W Bro Mark Hammond who was installed in February as Provincial Junior Grand Deacon for the year 2026.
